We’ve compiled our Top 10 Most Frequently Cited OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry for the 2014 fiscal year. OSHA publishes their own list each year, but it covers all standard violations cited for all industries. Our list is based on all standards cited by Federal OSHA using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for the construction industry.

All the standards that made the list this year were the same as last year although some have moved up or down in the rankings. The top four this year all kept their same ranking from the previous year. The biggest drop in the rankings was the  Toxic and Hazardous Substances (Standard No. 1910.1200) for Hazard Communication which fell from No. 5 to No.7 on the list this year. The biggest jump in the rankings was for General Safety and Health Provisions (Standard No. 1926.20) for General Safety and Health Provisions which moved up to No 8 on the list after being at No. 10 last year.
